About the Founder
Trishna Monplaisir is the founder of The Release Program, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing women’s emotional wellness through collective care and mutual aid. Her work is rooted in a long-held commitment to creating spaces where women can exist, be seen, and safely explore their emotional lives without judgment or urgency to fix themselves. As a licensed mental health professional, Trishna has spent years supporting individuals and communities while witnessing how often women’s emotional and financial needs go unmet. This experience shaped her desire to build systems of care that are accessible, dignified, and grounded in community rather than isolation.
The Release Program reflects Trishna’s belief that emotional wellness is deeply connected to access, rest, and shared responsibility. Through mutual aid, community-based programming, and partnerships, the organization works to support women navigating life’s challenges with compassion and care.
